Flexibility Test Machine for Wire and Cables Manufacturers

The flexibility test machine can choose a variety of test loads to meet the different test requirements of wire and cable manufacturers and inspection departments for dynamic flexure tests on flexible wires such as wires and cables. Wewon’s flexibility testing equipment is mainly used to detect the damage degree of soft cables with rubber insulation and sheath under dynamic load and after a certain number of bendings.

Manufacturers in the wire and cable industry can make sure their products are up to specifications with an electrical cable flexibility test machine. This advanced testing solution gives manufacturers a reliable method for verifying safety, consistency, and accuracy in the production of their high-quality wire and cable products.

Flexible Cables Testing Equipment for Mechanical Tests – Two Pulley Flex Testing
Flexibility testing measures the ability of wire and cable products to withstand bending, flexing and twisting. Manufacturers use this test to check how the product will perform in an actual installation, ensuring that it can properly withstand the operational conditions of its intended environment. This is especially important for evaluating safety criteria for wire and cable products used in hazardous areas or applications.

With the flexibility testing equipment, you can quickly and easily identify potential strand breakage issues in conductors or insulation. The machine applies a range of speed and tension, helping you validate that the product is able to withstand demanding operational conditions without any significant design changes from its initial specifications. Additionally, it helps ensure that coils are not damaged during installation or use, making sure your finished products meet their quality requirements.

Instructions of Flexibility Test Machine: Take the test piece about 5m long, and the middle section is bent on two round wheels with a specified diameter. Load is applied to both ends of the test piece, and the current is connected. Then, at a speed of 0.33m/sec and a stroke of 1m, Move the round wheel to bend and stretch the specimen back and forth. When the wire breaks or reaches the set number of times, it will stop automatically, and the test piece will be removed to evaluate its flexural resistance.

Flexibility test machine is suitable for electric wire and cable production and scientific research institutes to do dynamic and static flexure tests on rubber, plastic insulated and sheathed cords. The sample is flexed on the pulley, the load is applied at both ends and the current is connected, the pulley is moved at a specified speed and stroke, and the sample is reciprocally bent and stretched to evaluate its flex resistance. Flexibility testing machine is used to test the mechanical strength of PVC insulated cables or rubber insulated and extra soft wires with rated voltage below 450V/750V and two or more cores.
