The gravity impact tester is used to simulate the cell phone during or before the battery is installed, The force of impact a battery can withstand. Whether the battery will explode and catch fire after impact. The gravity impact test machine is a good way to evaluate the safety of the battery. Gravity impact tester from Wewon Environmental Chambers Co., Ltd. comply with UN 38.3.4.6, IEC 62133, UL 1642, UL 2054 & IEC 60068-4:2000.
How to use the gravity impact tester ? The lithium ion battery gravity impact tester is tested by placing the battery sample on a flat surface. Cross a rod with a diameter of 15.8 mm and place it in the center of the sample, A weight of 9.1 kg or 10 kg was used to fall from a certain height (610 mm or 1000 mm) onto the sample. Observe and evaluate the performance and safety of the battery tested by free fall test. For lithium ion batteries performance test, the most commonly used test standard is UN 38.3.4.6
The cylindrical or prismatic cell shall have its longitudinal axis parallel to the plane and perpendicular to the center of the horizontal specimen so that the curved body longitudinal bearing with a diameter of 7.9 mm shall be impacted. The prismatic cell is also rotated 90° around its vertical axis so that its wide and narrow sides can withstand impact. Each sample battery should withstand only one shock, and each test should use different samples. Coin-type or button-type battery shall make the surface of the test sample parallel to the plane. The curved body with a diameter of 7.9 mm lies across the center of the battery.

Conduct the test in strict accordance with the test standards. Wipe the instrument with cotton cloth before and after the machine test and keep it clean and tidy. | Check that the equipment is working properly relative to the moving part. Add butter to the fixing rod regularly every three months. Promote movement agility, increase life expectancy. Electroplated parts and components once a week spray anti-rust oil, prevent rust, regular maintenance. | When the machine is not in use, cut off the power. If the machine is not in use for a long time, it is recommended to power it once a month. The structure adopts the controller to separate from the test space to ensure the safety of operators. | The gravity impact tester shall not be used at will unless the staff has received professional training. The internal structure of the machine is unique, please consult the technical personnel of the manufacturer for details.

| Maintenance Matters
|
The gravity impact test machine must be placed on a stable table before use;Do not operate the machine in use;The machine must be well ventilated when working. | Directions For Use |
Select the corresponding power voltage, do not be too high, to avoid burning the gravity impact tester. |
In case of any abnormality of the instrument, please contact the institute for timely treatment. |
Key mechanical components, due to the large operating load, please timely add lubricating oil to the mechanical part. |
After each test, clean the machine and keep it clean. Please wipe the control box with dry cloth instead of wet cloth. |
This gravity impact test chamber has the function of power failure protection, preventing the sudden power failure from accidental impact and the operation of the wrong action to protect personal safety. | Equipment Characteristics |
The height control adopts the function of micro switch to automatic stop. Safe, practical and reliable. |
The gravity impact test chamber adopts box-type explosion-proof design, which is beautiful and economical in appearance |
The bottom is equipped with a thickened buffer board. 12 mm thick explosion-proof glass can be viewed at any time. |
The sample to be tested rests on a fixed platform, The 15.8mm diameter solid steel rod will be placed in a direction perpendicular to the long axis face of the sample. | Placed in the center of the sample, A 9.1 kilogram cylinder of steel fell free from a height of 610 ± 25mm, Hit the tested sample with a steel rod. | The impact surface of a round or square battery is a parallel surface parallel to a long axis, and the bar is placed across the battery, perpendicular to the long axis. | The square battery is parallel to two orthogonal planes (wide plane and narrow plane) of the long axis, which are the impact planes tested. | However, each sample can only test one surface, and a separate sample is needed for each test. The test surface of the coin or button type battery is two table planes | The steel rod will pass through the center of the battery surface and rest on the battery. Of course, pay attention to the battery anode and cathode do not short circuit | Judgement Result: The final result of the test is that the battery cannot explode or catch fire|Gravity Impact Tester for Lithium Ion Batteries Free Fall Test – UN 38.3.4.6, IEC 62133, UL 1642
