Operating Instructions for IP X7 X8 Water Immersion Test Equipment

Water immersion testing is an essential part of the product design and development process. The IPX7 and IPX8 water immersion test methods are commonly used to measure the ability of a product to withstand immersion in water for a specific duration. To conduct an IPX7 test, the test chamber should be filled with water to a depth of 1 meter, and the product should be fully submerged in water for a period of 30 minutes.

For the IPX8 test, The rain test chamber should be filled to a specified depth and the product should be fully submerged for a period of up to four hours. It is essential to maintain a stable temperature within the chamber during the testing process to ensure accurate results. After the test period, the product should be removed from the chamber and inspected for any signs of water ingress or damage. Water immersion testing is an important part of the product design and development process, especially for products that are intended to be used in wet environments.

Operating Instructions for IP X7 X8 Water Immersion Test Equipment
This equipment can meet the requirements of IPX7 and IPX8 short-time immersion and long-term water ingress specified in IEC60529 and GB4208 standardsScope of Application
It is all made of stainless steel, and the wall thickness of the stainless steel material is 6mm.
Equipment needs an external air source, and depth of immersion can be directly operated on panel
The water intake in the container is manually controlled, (the drainage is manually controlled)
The equipment is equipped with a liquid level gauge that can display the water level in the container, the test duration can be set, and has a prompt function (the test piece can be customized if there are special requirements, This is also acceptable.)
The machine has display the temperature of water in the container and the surface temperature of the test piece (not controlled). But we will accept the customs design.

Two common test methods are IPX7 and IPX8, which are used to determine the ability of a product to withstand immersion in water for a specified period of time. In this article, We will review the basic operating instructions for IPX7 and IPX8 water immersion test equipment. The IPX7 water immersion test method is designed to measure the water resistance of a product under submersion in water to a depth of one meter for a duration of 30 minutes. The following are the basic operating instructions for IPX7 water immersion test equipment:

IPX7 Water Immersion Test Equipment Operating Instructions
Fill the test chamber with water to a depth of at least one meter.
Turn on the water circulation and heating systems as needed to maintain a stable temperature within the chamber.
Place the product to be tested in the chamber, ensuring that it is fully submerged in water to a depth of one meter.
Maintain the submersion for a period of 30 minutes.
After the test period, Remove the product from the chamber and inspect it for any signs of water ingress or damage.

The IPX8 water immersion test method is used to measure the water resistance of a product under submersion in water to a specified depth for a duration of up to four hours . This test method is commonly used for products that are intended to be used in wet environments. The testing equipment should be filled with water to the specified depth and the product should be fully submerged in water for the specified time. The test chamber’s temperature should be maintained at a stable level to ensure accurate results. After the test period, the product should be removed from the chamber and inspected for any signs of water ingress or damage.

IPX8 Water Immersion Test Equipment Operating Instructions
Fill the test chamber with water to the specified depth, as determined by the product’s intended use.
Turn on the water circulation and heating systems as needed to maintain a stable temperature within the chamber.
Place the product to be tested in the chamber, ensuring that it is fully submerged in water to the specified depth.
Maintain the submersion for a period of up to four hours.
After the test period, remove the product from the chamber and inspect it for any signs of water ingress or damage.

8. The opening and closing of the upper cover of the equipment is pneumatic, the cylinder used is (Sino-foreign joint venture GSM), the working air pressure is (0.5) Mpa, the opening method is pneumatic lifting, with manual safety lock.
IP X7 X8 Pressurized Immersion Test, Simulate 30 Meters Water Pressure
1. Turn on the power switch, the panel lights upOperating Instructions
2. Press the “open cover” button, open the top cover, connect the sample to the power supply, and put it into the container
3. Observe the temperature table, when the sample temperature is 5 degrees higher than the test temperature, stop power supply to the sample
4. Press the “Close Cover” button to adjust the pressure of all the locking valves around the top cover to completely close the top cover and the container
5. Set the timing table (set according to the sample test requirements, generally at least 15 minutes)
6. Press the “intake” button to start pressurization, adjust the “intake” knob, then the value of the test depth gauge will rise (test depth value, according to the requirements of the test sample)
7. When the test depth reaches the test requirements, close the “intake” button
8. Press the “timing” button to start timing, and when the set time is reached, the power of the whole machine will be turned off
9. Pop out the “timer” button, manually adjust exhaust valve, and empty the pressure of container
10. Turn off the working power of the machine, and the test is over.
1. The pressure that the test container can withstand is the pressure at a water depth of 100m (that is, 10 atmospheres), and the immersion depth setting must not exceed 100m.Notice Precautions
2. During the test, the test container is prohibited from being violently impacted. When tightening the lid of the test container, be sure to align it first, and then tighten it diagonally.
