Steam Aging Tester

Steam aging tester is designed to meet military and commercial Hi-Rel specifications (MIL-STD 202, Method 208, and others) for artificial aging of all electronic components and circuit boards. This includes high density, discrete components, relays, transistors, capacitors, SMT, and axial components. These steam aging chamber applied for the testing of sealing property for multi-layer circuit board, IC sealing package, LCD screen, LED, semi-conductor, magnetic materials, NdFeB, rare earths and magnet iron, in which the resistance to pressure and air tightness for above mentioned products can be tested out.

Wewon’s steam aging tester is offered with several configuration options to ensure it meets the needs of each customer. The standard configuration offers a single steam aging test chamber for large components. The steam aging test chamber can be equipped with 3 individually timed, ESD protected drawers with a unique closure mechanism that reduces steam escapement during drawer removal. Both systems provide complete monitoring and control of steam or water temperature and feature automatic timing of the test duration.

Operation steps of steam aging tester according to MIL-STD 202, Method 208. You can familiarize yourself with the specific methods and procedures from the following steps.
1. Prepare the test samples: Cut the test specimens from the material to be tested according to the required dimensions specified in the MIL-STD 202, Method 208. Clean the test specimens to remove any dirt or contaminants.
2. Place the test samples in the steam aging chamber: Open the steam aging chamber and place the test samples inside on the test fixtures. Make sure that the samples are positioned away from each other and are not touching the chamber walls.
3. Close the chamber: Ensure that the chamber is securely closed and sealed to prevent any steam from escaping during the test.
4. Set the test parameters: Input the test parameters into the steam aging tester, including the predetermined temperature, pressure, and duration of the test as specified in MIL-STD 202, Method 208. Steam Aging Test Chamber China Manufacturer
5. Start the aging cycle: Once the settings are confirmed, start the aging cycle of the samples inside the chamber.
6. Monitor the test: Continuously monitor the test to ensure that the temperature, humidity, and pressure inside the chamber remain constant throughout the testing period.
7. Remove the samples: After the test has completed, carefully remove the test samples from the aging chamber and allow them to cool down to room temperature.
8. Inspect the samples: Inspect the test specimens for any changes or physical degradation caused by the aging process.
9. Analyze the results: Based on the observed changes in the physical properties of the test samples, determine whether the material meets the required MIL-STD 202, Method 208 criteria.
